Our rates were consistently raised and they became unreasonable. Management said they couldn't do anything about it. Also, our furniture molded when they washed the floors and it became very humid. Other than decent security and access I would not store here again.

I have been nice up until this point I'm closing my barbershop so I needed to store my things from there first day the service was ok everyone seemed on top of everything second day I was moving the last bit of stuff I have a illness when I have to use the rest room I have to right then and there I ran to the front desk and explained the situation too the woman at the front desk she told me no I couldn't use the rest room I told her I have a illness where if I didn't go I would then go on myself she told me no and then said that there was no public rest rooms at this time I began to go on myself I couldn't hold it my illness wouldn't allow me to do so mind you it's freezing outside I had someone bring me to storage but was going to drop me off up the street from there I was outside in the cold with urine all over me I tried to call corporate because I have a illness that won't allow me to hold my bladder so I stood in the cold waiting for another car to come pick me up and I had to tell him I went to the bathroom on myself I was I what i went through today and I'm hoping someone from corporate calls me because I told her I have a illness that won't allow me to hold anything in the dark-skinned lady at the desk

Will be recommending this spot to folks who need storage. edit: When I was done with the storage and wanted to close it out over a month ago, they suggested I keep it for the rest of the time in case I ended up needing it. I now know why - so you can forget and they can charge you for another month. They were great otherwise, but as soon as you are done, remove your lock and close the account. Telling someone you’re done with it isn’t enough to stop them from charging you again. Relatively common sense stuff, so it’s my fault, but it would’ve been cool if they’d worked with me on it.

I was very happy with the service here. Both of the employees were very helpful and cordial. I went into the uhaul a little ways down from this business and was horrified by their demeanor and services. I rented a truck with them that I confirmed with them on the phone several times and they gave me the van that day, didn’t offer to give me a storage unit as it was same day moving…it was horrid. Compass self storage cares about their customers. If you have to rent a van or truck cut out the cost of uhauls mishaps and go to compass where they can give you a uhaul van without the headache and with a concern for customer satisfaction. It is an interesting road to pull off of with a big van or truck if you aren’t used to it, and if you are headed up towards shadyside you have to go under a bridge that is basically one lane, and no one else in pittsburgh remembers that. Someone literally almost took another car out by not providing enough room, or doing what most normal people do by zippering in. Either way that will be your biggest here, not customer service. They are amazing.

I’ve had a mixed bag of service here. Tammy is helpful- she seems to be the manager. On Sunday 9/4/22 I stopped in with some questions as I was transferring units. The woman in the office was miserable & kept telling me to come back when Tammy was there to get the answers to my (pretty basic) questions. She seemed annoyed & inconvenienced from the moment I arrived. She said she would have to text Tammy to answer my questions (about the sizes & availability of other units) but that Tammy was “probably asleep” at 11 am. ???? There are several other storage facilities in the immediate area so you may want to shop around.

Tammy is the absolute best. She saved my day from being a total disaster! I had a Uhaul reservation at the Washington blvd location. A rep canceled my order unbeknownst to me when I was only trying to modify it. Washington was no help with getting anything else. I came to compass hoping there was something available, but no luck. Tammy called around and tracked one down for me! To be picked up at Washington blvd, go figure. Thank you thank you thank you, Tammy, you are a blessing.
