I have been a customer here for a little bit over a month now. The customer service here is amazing. They have on-site U-Haul trucks for rent. They keep their prices fair. The property is very clean. Also on site in the office, they have packing supplies and moving equipment For all your needs. Not to mention that the staff is always pleasant here. Overall great experience renting a storage unit from here. If you need storage in the Florence area, this is the spot. I would suggest asking for Barbara.

It's clean. Place looks nice. They have frequent move in specials (at least they did in the past). Various size storage lockers available as well as outside storage for boats, RVs, etc. My only problem is they will raise your monthly storage fee at regular intervals which becomes an overwhelming amount if you store your belongings there long enough. If I remember correctly they raised my monthly fee by $15 every 3 months. That's a yearly increase of $60 on top of the quoted monthly rent at start. Just gives "scam" kinda vibe. It really adds up over time. Maybe it's no longer like that, but that was my experience. I would ask first.

They were knowledgeable and took the time to answer a lot of questions I had for them. The storage was clean, and for new & existing customers, they had high quality locks available to purchase at a very fair price. Both ladies provided the highest quality customer service, which is really important for customers that are going through a very stressful time in their lives (moving). If you need a storage, I can’t recommend Compass any higher; from the storage itself to the great service they provide, I can’t imagine why customers would go anywhere else. DM

The Compass facility is clean and well kept. The personnel at the facility are always very nice & helpful. I’ve decided to move to a different storage facility for one reason only - Compass raised the rental rates every 6 months to the point that they have priced themselves out of the market in my opinion. I was finally paying $100 per month at Compass for a relatively small space and found another company with the same size space for less than $40 per month. Too bad but Compass needs to reconsider their approach to pricing. This was just too much of a delta to offset the inconvenience of moving my belongings.

Compass has provided fast, friendly service for my moving and storage needs. I received superior assistance selecting boxes needed for an upcoming stressful move. Additionally, they helped me to cancel a storage space i had reserved thinking I would not be able to get keys to my new house on the date I was supposed to. When it turned out I did get the keys the next day and forgot to cancel the reservation, Keira was helpful and supportive and patient to cancel the reservation for me without any frustration. She wished me well in my new home.

The unit was rented online in my fiance's name because it was his debit card used for the payment. I was listed on the rental agreement as the additional contact because there was no option for 2 names. I was available first to go to the office so I could get the keys and sign the lease. The woman in the office told me that I was not allowed to sign the agreement or pick up the keys due to their policy and since I was not his legal guardian or an authorized representative of a company I was not allowed to get the keys or sign the lease. Unfortunately it was a few days later before he found the time to sign the lease for the unit and get the keys and access code. When I went in I did mention we needed 24-hour access due to our schedules and our business. I was informed that they were doing away with the 24-hour access at that location due to issues they was having in Ohio and I explained to her that they were still showing it advertising online and she told me that I may be able to speak to the owner and see if we could do. When James went in to sign the lease he asked again about the 24 access and it was explained that it was an extra $10 per month. Unfortunately our access code was not granted for the 24 hours a day when we needed it most. We had rented a U-Haul that was due back on August 8th at 7:00 a.m. We went to unload the U-Haul about 1am and we were unable to do so because our access code was not granted the 24-hour permission. Due to the hours we work not able to load until they open at 9:00 a.m. and the U-Haul was late and it was not returned until after 7:00 a.m. We were charged another day's rental of roughly $75 for the truck being late. It's either been an extra trip to the storage office or an extra phone call to make sure that everything that was done online when it was rented is correct as in our 24 access it was not given to us even though we paid for it and it cost us big money in the long run

DO NOT RENT from this establishment!! I have rented a unit from them for 2 years now. The rental rate has gone up twice in one year, now after 2 years, the rental rates has increased four times in a 2 year period. About every 6 months, you receive a letter stating "from time to time, expenses increase. In order to maintain our high standards and provide you with the customer service you deserve, we find it necessary that we slightly increase your monthly rental rate." By slightly, it's $20 each time.

First time customer. Friendly service, clean and secure property. Highly recommend.

I have had my storage unit at this facility for close to two years so obviously the payment gets made. However my budget is calculated bi-monthly…. So my bills are arranged by the same schedule. Since Compass doesn’t accommodate such a schedule, which I totally understand so I know I will be subjected to a late fee. That being said, the bill is due monthly. If not paid on the 32nd day (so average of a day late give or take) you are locked out of the gate. You are charged late fees, pre lien Fees if you go into month 2 and then you get auction fees of which are $125.00. Even if no auction is in order for your things. Even though I’m at a 0 balance right now I haven’t been able to access my storage for 2 days. I have been calling the corporate number who said they spoke with the manager at the location and she would be calling me to let me in to get into my storage and in 3 hours I still have had no call. I wouldn’t give this place even one star. It’s a joke.

I rented a store unit online And when I got there to finalize it i realized it was going to be too small. So I asked for a refund and was told they could not give me a refund. I ended up going to another storage facility And the money I paid them online I lost. I definitely would not recommend renting from them. After all this happened I came across someone who had rented from them and said the cost kept going up every month.

BEWARE OF SCAM Horrible experience. Being overcharged $120 because people cannot do math and figure out the correct mileage or gas level. Reservation was at 2:30 and when I got there the office was locked. Called the courtesy number and finally around 10 till three someone open the door. As I entered the office completely reeked of pot. Told me that they were out of furniture pads but I could go to another location to pick them up if I want to. Would have been nice to know that when I made the reservation. Went ahead and bought bubble wrap to take the place of the furniture pads. Was marked 1295 and rang up at the register 1995 so they made a price adjustment. When the receipt came they had charged me for 69 miles instead of the 24 miles that I have documented in the pictures I took. They also charge me 11 gallons worth of fuel which is incorrect. Would not recommend this location for any reason for anything. Phone number and email don't work. So will be disputing the charge with my credit card company.
