Absolutely the worst. Should be zero stars. Rates raised for no reason. Impossible to reach a human being to find out why. A total scam. They rip you off with massive unexplained rate increases every few months. Parent company unaccountable. No way to even inquire about a better rate. The whole company is a corrupt scheme designed to take advantage of customers. Stay away.

Tiffany was so helpful and keeps a bowl of snacks during office hours, we got a really great price on a climate controlled unit month to month compared to other places in the area even after the mandatory insurance. Rental trucks and everything you need to move, although the 1 of the doors weren't working on the day we moved in. Once we see that updated will be sure to share the status of the response by the staff. There is a huge garage to park while loading which is covered and easy to back up to and turn around.

Tiffany was very kind an knowledgeable, she was actually the only 1 who informed us that are homeowners insurance covers offsite storage insurance as well so she saved us $12. Compass Self Storage in Neptune, NJ had been an ideal partner in meeting my storage needs. As an apartment resident, my storage unit is essentially my attic and will be used for long term storage. The unit I chose is climate controlled and has always felt optimal. I feel my belongings are safe being stored there. The facility has plenty of dollies to move stuff from my car to the space and back. One downside is that rates seem to rise quickly. However, the staff will work with you to find the right solution for you to keep costs down. Kristen is a gem. She is friendly, proactive, and eager to provide you with the best possible experience storing your personal and valuable items in a safe environment.

Don't break any of the contract rules or your property will be held hostage after office hours and you'll get no answers from the I'm guessing manager at the front desk. Trying to maneuver your belongings in or out of the place is a nightmare, very tight hallways, inside concrete flooring is in bad shape so your things are falling off the carts as you're trying to get to and from your unit. There are definitely better places within the area that are more "user friendly", better prices and easier access to your belongings and without the risk of breaking your things trying to get them in or out of the place.

Victoria made the whole process of renting a storage unit quick and easy. She gave a through explanation of what was required from me for the rental, and I also appreciated her friendliness and efficiency. 2 years later....my rent has been raised every 6 months with only 1 notification. For some mysterious reason after that I never received another. I was told my address was not in the computer correctly. Thought that was corrected and now after another raise in rent, I was told that I needed to come in to fill out a tenant form for a " change in address". Amazing how my rent is deducted from my checking account every month.
